The Security Council is the United Nations’ most powerful body, with “primary responsibility for the maintenance of international peace and security.” Five powerful countries sit as “permanent members” along with ten elected members with two-year terms.
UNSC is going to focus on today’s most crucial crisis such as south china sea crisis and  militarization of outer space. 
  South china sea has substantial geographical and historical importance. Its 3.5 million square kilometers of underlying bedrock contain oil , natural gas deposits and home to lucrative fisheries and supply routes that carry 80 percent of China’s crude imports, Territorial disputes in the South China Sea involve both island and maritime claims among several sovereign states within the region, namely Brunei, the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of China (Taiwan), Malaysia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. because of that the territorially disputed region may be the most strategically important waterway of the 21st century.
     Internationally it has been agreed that space should be used for peaceful purposes, and for the benefit of all humankind. The recent years have seen not only scientific and astronomical success in investigating outer space, but also a remarkable growth in its usage for a great variety of civilian and military purposes.It is not only missiles that can traverse outer space or satellites that can spot targets and guide the missiles, but also weapons could be permanently placed outside the Earth’s atmosphere and with a signal from the earth can bombard target bases and cities.
